Today we did multiple activities, firstly we jumped out of bed and ate breakfast in our PJs, we packed bread rolls in our bags and saved them for later, then climbed a volcano, a big volcano (Mount Vesuvius). Dr Carron told us tales from previous trips that scared us. The climb was difficult, but it was a memory. We drank peach iced tea and got souvenirs for families. The volcano had no lava, but it was a trip worth going on again in the future. The steam was amazing to see. Near the top, there was a cool breeze that kept us alive.
Something that just hit the spot was the refreshing ocean, after the nice but sometimes steaming hot weather, worthy of a tan. Something that made me smile was the fact that there were amazing rock jumps. I was a little scared, but my friends helped me through it. Since then, I've been having the time of my life jumping in the water, something that I will never forget. After a relaxing time at the beach, we set off back to the hotel for a shower and to get ready for the dinner picked out by 6 of the girls in our clean outfits. We walked to dinner there was enough food to feed an army. Pizza, pasta, gnocchi, chips, and seafood were eaten amongst us all without a lunch, we were famished, and our budget was extended for dinner. We ate our dinner and stopped off at the nearby market stalls. The boys headed home, but the girls shopped to their hearts' content. Necklaces, bracelets, rings, and all were picked and put in bags after a while shopping, we joined the boys. Now ready for bed, we chatted and played, and then Herculeanium is waiting for us tomorrow.Â
